Responsibilities
- Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations both internal/external to the company.
- Oversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.
- Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
- Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions
- Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
- Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
- Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate
- Influence design and development of strategic processes
- Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of Product, Program or Project Management experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience managing financial performance, and making related trade-off decisions
- Data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills (including deep knowledge of Excel and analytical tools, SQL preferred)
- Demonstrated success growing a business, market planning/analysis, and opportunity identification
- Fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Operations and/or Economics
- Experience leading or closely partnering with software development leaders and engineers to design and build new solutions
- 5+ years of supply chain and/or retail industry experience
- 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional programs, including external and internal stakeholders
- Experience with Localization/Internationalization, tailoring customer experiences to specific and local customer needs
- Exhibits excellent judgment
- Has relentlessly high standards
- Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
