Responsibilities


  1. Manage full lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations both internal/external to the company.
  2. Oversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, security not considered, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.
  3. Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks)
  4. Work directly with external providers, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions
  5. Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects
  6. Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
  7. Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate
  8. Influence design and development of strategic processes
  9. Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence

Requirements


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. 6+ years of Product, Program or Project Management experience
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
  3. Experience managing financial performance, and making related trade-off decisions
  4. Data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills (including deep knowledge of Excel and analytical tools, SQL preferred)
  5. Demonstrated success growing a business, market planning/analysis, and opportunity identification
  6. Fluency in spoken and written Japanese and English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  1. Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business, Operations and/or Economics
  2. Experience leading or closely partnering with software development leaders and engineers to design and build new solutions
  3. 5+ years of supply chain and/or retail industry experience
  4. 5+ years of experience managing cross-functional programs, including external and internal stakeholders
  5. Experience with Localization/Internationalization, tailoring customer experiences to specific and local customer needs
  6. Exhibits excellent judgment
  7. Has relentlessly high standards
  8. Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
  9. Excited about working in a diverse group and contributing to an inclusive culture.
