Responsibilities


  1. Help us progress human progress through knowledge! As an Open Research Account Specialist, you will aid in our mission by…
  2. Supporting account management activity across transformative agreement customers and F1000Research Gateway and Platform customers.
  3. Led account management of specific customer accounts, creating account management plans in close collaboration with sales managers to drive revenue growth and upselling across a range of the company's products
  4. Monitoring KPIs such as submissions and article revenue from each account, to proactively create and deliver plans for article growth in close collaboration with Author Marketing and the Publishing team.
  5. Communicating regularly with institutional customers through a variety of outreach activities, including webinars, institutional member emails, and check-in calls, as well as supporting with day-to-day queries on agreements;
  6. Using a mix of data-driven tactics and strong working relationships to demonstrate the value of OA agreements to customers and contribute to successful renewals
  7. Identifying gaps and opportunities for cross-channel upselling across a range of the company's products.
  8. Providing customer feedback and ideas for workflow optimization to the Sales Operations Team.
  9. Providing regular reporting to clients and internal stakeholders including on-account progress and research impact;
  10. Contributing to the growing understanding of our open research program across the business alongside the Open Access Editorial teams

Requirements


  1. A proven commercial background in account management or business development
  2. A track record of building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve results. 
  3. Excellent communication skills and resilience to pursue negotiations 
  4. Results-driven with a self-starter attitude to achieving success. 
  5. Skills in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights
  6. An ability to manage competing priorities and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
  7. Skills in research and market analysis to identify upselling opportunities
  8. A proactive and creative approach to building on successes and solving problems
  9. Fluent language skills in both Japanese and English, written and verbal
