Company description


Multinational Leading Digital Payments company. The firm manages a two-sided proprietary global technology platform that links customers, which consist of both merchants and consumers, to facilitate the processing of payment transactions.

Responsibilities


  • Assist with preparation and execution of corporate secretarial documents to support the companies Japan entity
  • Handle requests for execution of various documents by signatories of the company
  • Liaise with notary public to assist with notarisations and legalisations
  • Assist with preparation of certified true copy of documents and affixation of seal / company stamp on documents
  • Keeping internal legal and corporate secretarial filings and records up to date
  • Assist with preparation of board and shareholder meetings, and keeping track of deadlines for holding meetings and making statutory filings
  • Maintain a list of authorised signatories for the company
  • Assist with litigation matters, legal administrative work and other ad hoc matters as required by the Legal team
  • Retrieve mails for the Legal team and direct the mails to relevant people within and outside the team.

Requirements


  • Diploma in Law/Paralegal Studies with good foundation in basic drafting and reviewing of legal documents
  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in a paralegal role. Experience in corporate secretarial work is preferred, but not essential
  • Excellent writing skills with fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and English
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently, whilst maintaining strong quality of work and attention to detail
  • Analytical, organised and able to work independently
  • Highly ethical, discreet and able to maintain confidentia
