Responsibilities
- As a member of the Global Manufacturing & Supply / Global Quality – Data, Digital, & Technology team, leads and/or influences the execution and implementation of GMS/GQ strategy and initiatives at the site level
- Responsible for the development and execution of the site data, digital, and technology roadmap
- Partners with functional stakeholders at the site to ensure management and execution of local data science, local technology operations, and global initiatives that specifically impact/benefit the site
- Gathers and identifies stakeholders throughout the organization to drive improvement in the use of data and digitalization efforts and ensures ownership/alignment with Tier 4 (Japan region ) & 5 (global) strategic imperatives
- Leads continuous improvement, investigations, and strategic thinking at the site level
- Interfaces between the site and the global digital / data community both within the Japan region and in above-site functions within GMS/GQ; Provides input as a site representative in global forums/meetings/strategy
- Responsible for day-to-day operations of the local DD&T function; covering all management aspects (people/processes)
- Leads the Data, Digital, & Technology Site Community and champions Data and Digital change management at the site level as a member of the Site Leadership Team (Narita SLT)
- Narita Plant Global Manufacturing & Supply / Global Quality (GMS/GQ) - As a member of the Data, Digital and Technology (DD&T) team, collaborate with stakeholders including Global and Japan Region based on GMS/GQ strategy at Narita Plant and lead, manage and execute initiatives (global/local).
- Discuss with representative members of each department, create a DD&T roadmap that matches the strategy of the Narita Plant, and promote its execution while leading continuous improvement and strategic planning.
- As the community lead of the Narita DD&T community, he is accountable for the DD&T roadmap. Became a member of the Narita Plant's site leadership members, site he will carry out further transformation of data and digital utilization at the site level.
- Responsible for the IT infrastructure of the Narita factory, as well as application services and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor (minimum) or Master's degree (preferred)
- 3+ years work experience with responsibilities in strategy setting, people management, & financial management for a related position or equivalent academic experience
- Experience as a leader of an IT team providing IT services.
- Work experience in a manufacturing industry or at a factory/plant, or providing IT services to a manufacturing plant
- Demonstrated program management and organizational leadership skills
- Demonstrated strong financial business acumen, including business case development, return on investment and benefit analysis post project completion
- Strategic thinker both from a business and technology perspective
- Demonstrates innovation and risk-taking with budgeting and financial acumen
- Strong people management experience
- Strong communication skills
- (Preferred) Hands-on experience in applying and executing Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Big Data and Digital initiatives
- Can read and write both Japanese and English, and has excellent communication skills, such as being able to speak fluently.
