Strategy& was formed on March 31, 2014, when the firm formerly known as Booz & Company combined with PwC to form a new kind of consulting firm, offering strategy-through-execution services under one roof. Together they bring more than 250 years of experience helping global clients solve their toughest problems.
Strategy& continues the former Booz & Company’s practical strategy legacy. As the oldest continually existing strategy consultancy in the world, Booz & Company established the profession as the first firm to use the term “management consultant.”
They are a member of the PwC network of firms in 157 countries with more than 195,000 people committed to delivering quality in assurance, tax, and advisory services.
The company has 57 offices around the world. 70 of the world's largest 100 corporations and 400 of the largest 500 US corporations are Strategy& clients and the firm has been involved in a number of important business episodes, including the dawn of the contract system for Hollywood movies, the merger of the National and American football leagues, and the rescue of the Chrysler corporation from bankruptcy. On October 30, 2013, it was announced that PwC would buy and merge with Booz & Company, including the company's name and its 300 partners, subject to a December vote of the Booz & Company partners. The deal closed on April 4, 2014, and the firm was formally renamed to Strategy&.
