 1. Accountable for retention of the revenue from existing accounts and delivery of revenue growth.
2. Seeks out new sales opportunities for new Reuters products and services among existing and potential new segments. 
3. Owns and manages customer relationships, ensuring delivery of best in class service to each account.
4. Defines account strategies and owns the account plan and provides commitment to excellent customer service. 
5. Updates account information in Salesforce systems. 
6. Understands the customers’ business and workflow and how Reuters products and services fit within that context.
7. Develops and influences a broad network of contacts at all levels within clients and within the industry. 
8. Coordinates and drives implementation of Reuters Media’s strategy at the account level. 
9. Builds strong relationships with the editorial and specialist teams providing client feedback that helps to shape the valuable client solutions.
10. Gathers intelligence and monitors competitor activity.


 1. Proven aptitude for delivering superior customer service to major media accounts in Japan.
2. Ability to develop and confidently interact with senior level contacts at client sites across functions (e.g. in their editorial, business development, management, sales and marketing departments).
3. Excellent Japanese language business skills (written and spoken)
4. English fluency to efficiently work as a Reuters News Agency team member to communicate customer requirements to non-Japanese speaking support groups (editorial, sales specialists).
5. Have media market, digital and industry knowledge.
6. Proven sales and business development capabilities.
7. Experience  5 + years
