1. Collaborating across functional teams both within Japan and Global in preparation for new product introductions
2. Develop market plan for each product introduction to secure resources and investment as well as managing the product roadmap
3. KOL development and management
4. Develop market model for customer segmentation and targeting
5. Conduct competitive intelligence research
6. Creation of marketing materials and sales tools (technique guides, product literature, brochures, sales binders) for the product value proposition and positioning
7. Develop and implement product pricing strategies
8. Perform and maintain market analysis by each product segment to identify new product offerings and line extensions to ensure the company has the best product offering in industry
9.Monitor product inventory turns to ensure adequate supply to meet market demand
10.Work with Clinical R&D and Marketing to identify clinical research topics for each product


1. 5 years’ experience in medical device or related field in Product Development and/or Marketing in a fast-paced environment
2. Bachelor’s Degree required. Emphasis on Life Science, Business or Marketing preferred
3. Experience in medical device industry (Orthopedics / Spine preferred)
4. Fluent in Japanese and English
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; specifically, Word, Excel, Power Point and Project is required.
6. Well organized, detail oriented, and team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment
7. Strong ability to create and confidently deliver effective presentations to multiple size audiences
8. Excellent oral and written communication skills
9. Ability to travel as necessary, which may include nights and/or weekends.
10.Will be required to attend labs/surgeries
