Responsibilities
DCS -Data Center Service- provide servers, storages and OS on mainly virtual platform for all IT department so they can build stable application systems. Operation is 24 by 7 without-side vender support.
This role requires a person who can manage storage capacity, back-up/restore capability and UNIX server power to Business IT teams in Japan.
1. Work as SME -Subject Matter Expert – for 3 areas. They are Storage, Back-up and UNIX
2. Storage SME – Manage Storage service in the DCs. Provide storage capacity to application systems using RAID technology. This role have to keep the storage capacity efficient enough so application systems will never face the storage capacity full.
3. Back-up and Restore SME – Manage back-up and restore service in DCs. Provide back-up service for application systems with retention policy. Back-up should be taken not only on storages but also on appliance product. And should be mirroerred to DR sites. Manage restore service in DCs for application systems when requested.
4.UNIX SME – Manage UNIX OS service in DCs. Standard UNIX OS are RedHat LINUX. But several other UNIX OS are still exists.
5. Capability to manage out-sourcing vender to provide Data Center Services – Use Indian vender both on-site and off-shore to kppe DC service stable. The role should act as a first contact with business IT so they can smoothly use the services.
6. Operational responsibility – The role will be responsible for day-to day activities in Data Center to keep the service stable. In case of incident, provide 3rd level technical support is required. Also, the role is required to improve processes of each services with out-sourcing venders.
7. Lead the GXP and SOX compliance – There are many GXP and JSOX related systems running in Data Center. The role should lead and manage out-sourcing vender to keep GXP/SOX related SOPs – Standard Operating Procedure- to keep the systems compliant.
8. Project management – The role should lead infrastructure related project such as building

new storage in a Data Center or transfer huge data from old storage to new storage.
Requirements
1. Fluent in Japanese & Business Level English
2. Bachelor's degree
3. Experience on large IT projects from start to end
4. Strong knowledge of Data Cetner Service management such as Servers, Monitoring, Storage, Backup,Win/Tel and UNIX.
Preferred:
1. Bachelor's degree and/or Master Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
2. Minimum 10 years of information management and/or related work experience in Bio-Tech/Pharmaceutical industry
3. Project management qualification or equivalent experience preferable
4. 7+ years of working experience managing Data Center Services including large external service provider partnerships within Pharmaceutical and/or Biotech environment
Skills:
1. Strong Technical skills and experience in Storage, Back-up and Restore and UNIX area
2. Strong collaborating skills and experience in people management and skills development
3. Strong commercial business acumen with knowledge of interdependencies that impact the organization
4. Expertise in budget planning and financial management.
5. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to listen and influence stakeholders at all levels
6. Passion for optimizing Business IT team’s requirement.
7. Proven track record of driving change in processes and organizations, while maintaining working relationships with key business customers.
8. Versed in Risk management possessing ability to identify, analyse, track, manage and resolve risks issues that impact project
9. Expert in technology resolutions in Storage, Backup, UNIX and Cloud
10.Understand and provide clarity and transparency of Business IT’s needs
11.Apply global solutions where possible and local solutions only when necessary
