01-24 Main Frame Engineer (Tokyo of Kobe)

Responsibilities
1. Implement migration planning of mainframe through merger.
2. Work on operation design and review migration planning in new consignment (data center).
3. Solve various problems and handle progress management.
4. Formulate and implement test plan for PGM operation and outside connection data etc collaborating with development division in new office environment.
- Review and prepare DR plan
- Report progress to USA office and manage problem issues
5. Manage and operate mainframe and AS400 system related issues.
- Plan and implement upgrade of OS/middleware
6. Report monitoring of service situation.
7. Manage plans for tuning and change of resources (response time, runtime for implementing batch).
8. Plan and implement DR test.
9. Operate and manage data exchange tools such as DEX and Hulft etc.

Requirements
1. 5+ years experience in operating mainframe.
2. Experience of operation related project is a plus.
3. Mainframe related knowledge (x-OS/filing system/security tools etc).
4. AS400/DEX/Hulft related knowledge is a plus.
5. English skill for reading/writing and e-mail exchanging.
6. Verbal English communication in business setting is a plus.
