Responsibilities

1. Category Scope – Develops sourcing channels and strategies for all the plant sourcing materials including direct and indirect materials. (in-charge to be determined). Participates in category group strategies and local implementation programs.
2. Liaises with the Region to ensure spend is managed in line with agreed sourcing strategies. Jointly responsible for local implementation of Regional and Global sourcing strategies.
3. Sourcing Management – Represent country in development of Global and Regional strategy. Uses the Sourcing Management Process to apply required tools in the creation and implementation of local source plans to manage assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, innovation and regulatory compliance within the Country, resulting in breakthrough strategies which optimize value and ensure appropriate risk management.
4. Proactive Cost Management: Achieves cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment targets, and adds value to area of expenditure through a strong total cost orientation. Identifies and documents all cost reduction and profit plan improvements.
5. Market Knowledge and Insight: Links market knowledge and country requirements to Region sourcing managers supporting the creation of breakthrough strategies.
6. Supplier Management and Conditioning: Assists in evaluating potential suppliers on country specific issues. Is familiar with the various suppliers and product lines available in stakeholder areas. Responsible for building relationships with Local suppliers and managing supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes; ensures adequate inclusion of diversity suppliers in RFPs and contracts as applicable.
7. Supplier Quality Control:satisfy quality standard by setting KPI and conduct monitoring.
8. Supplier Assessment:Implement assessment and evaluate suppliers.
9. Participate in regional / global projects proactively.
10. Stakeholder Management with strong communication skills and Business Sponsorship: Represents Global
11. Procurement locally, understanding supply strategies and agreements and describing the benefits to their country based stakeholders. Assists in analyzing customer’s business and evaluate if there are potential savings through supplier consolidation. Responsible for engaging assigned key country stakeholders and partners with them across divisions to define and meet or exceed business requirements and identify and manage profit plan savings targets.
12. Contract Negotiation and Management: Once strategy is approved, personally leads the sourcing including RFX, RFP, negotiations and contracting for Local categories to put in place the right suppliers.
13. Work with cross functional teams to ensure compliance of products adhere to procedures, policies and guidelines.

Requirements

1. +5 years Procurement experiences.
2. Working experiences for multinational corporation is preferable
3. The candidate should be a self-starter; able to work in a dynamic environment and possess the ability to work on multiple projects is required.
4. Need to challenge the status quo while balancing the needs of the business units and the long term plans.
5. English Proficiency – verbal and written (capable to manage telephone conference and presentation
6. Knowledge of GMP environment is advantageous
