09-14 Director, Sales and Business Development, Automotive Industry/セールス&事業開発ディレクター(自動車)

Responsibilities

1. Build the proposition and Go-To-Market strategy for the Automotive Industry Practice Group (IPG) in Japan.
2. Ensure support for revenue growth in Automotive industry based on an understanding of the market dynamics across the various segments of Automotive.
3. Keep up to date with news and changes in policy, regulations and activities of major players in the industries to have sufficient domain knowledge to lead discussion with customers and present expertise in public.
4. Lead sophisticated, high-level requirements conversations with clients. Work with the Product team to client requests into product strategy planning
5. Drive collaboration with the front line sales team. Serve as an expert resource to product sales teams serving the industry
6. Work with local Territory Sales Managers and technology teams to execute local strategy
7. Develop thought leadership opportunities, delivering talks at seminars, participating in industry bodies, etc.
8. Cultivate strategic partners and work with partner team to expand the capabilities of the Automotive Industry Practice Group.

Requirements

1. 12+ years experience in the Automotive industry sector; thorough knowledge of trends impacting the market and the needs of the Automotive customers. Strong network in the Automotive industry.
2. 10+ years experience in a management sales and business development role including significant experience meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
3. 8+ years software experience
4. Deep domain knowledge and thought leader in the Automotive sector in Japan with strong senior C-level client relationships. Strong network in the industry.
5. Proven ability to lead and operate successfully in a matrixed global organizational structure.
6. Successfully supported complex customer situations or in hitting and exceeding aggressive sales targets.
7. Global experience, working and leading in multiple markets and regions.
8. Strong leadership and team building skills.
9. Japanese native language skills and fluency in business English.
