1. Actively trades country in order to maximize sales, profit & achieve optimum availability throughout the season, without over-stocking.
2. Manage mark down for both in season sales and end of season main sale with support from international merchandising team.
3. Create an allocation strategy that incorporates existing stores, new stores, E Commerce and distribution centre inventory levels, incorporating space and stock density considerations
4. Work with the logistics team to develop effective short and long term inventory flow strategies
5. Partner with retail and visual merchandising to control department and store inventory parameters in line with new product launches, markdown activity, promotions etc.
6. Collaborate with regional managers and retail operations to identify missed opportunities
7. Plan and deliver a replenishment strategy that meets the demands of high density / low space stores
8. Review space in existing and new stores to maximise sales, profit and achieve optimum availability throughout the season, without over-stocking stores, whilst identifying space opportunities.
9. Develop the grading structure to drive profit in stores, whilst considering range architecture and store trading similarities
10. Uses analysis to quantify risks and opportunities.
11. Collaborate with international merchandising team on Japan seasonal range selection using sales history to finalise buy quantities within agreed OTB spend by department.
12. Work closely with Japanese Marketing, PR, Ecomm and Retail teams to feed in feedback into purchasing decisions to align local purchasing and marketing plans
13. Works with the international merchandising & global buying teams to ensure the global range meets the requirements of the Japanese market.
14. Japan pricing management, ensuring accurate and commercial Japan retail prices are held on the system, both full price and markdown.
15. Manage allocators and merchandiser(s), balancing department and store priorities
16. Drive career development and team development, ensure job satisfaction, retention and future talent development
17. Head office and Store Communication
18. Work closely with the stores and Head office to effectively communicate and present the Range, Product stories, pricing, ranges, MD strategies
