1. Partner with senior management and the HR team to develop and implement HR strategies, plans and solutions that foster organizational and people effectiveness.
2. Partner with business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
3. Provide management coaching to front line managers and senior leaders.
4. Demonstrate analytical capabilities and influence business partners with data-driven recommendations.
5. Provide career guidance to employees and partner with management to ensure these employees are growing in their career aspirations.
6. Partner with global HR teams to support business unit initiatives and global HR initiatives.
7. Drive HR projects and key initiatives with global / local HR teams, design and deliver management training, review job families, design and create policies, process Kaizen projects and other key initiatives.
8. Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
9. Hires & develops great people.
10. Partner with the business to lead both annual and mid-year review processes which focus on performance management and talent development.
11. Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.
12. Engage with talent acquisition team to provide input and review progress against hiring targets.
13. Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues, fairly representing all interests.


1. Bachelors Degree is required.
2. Candidate should have at least 8+ years of experience in an HR leadership role and/or generalist role with broad knowledge and experience in human resource management.
3. Experience partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business setting is required.
4. Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results.
5. Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analysis.
6. Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and multiple tasks.
7. Excellent communication, coaching, strategic thinking abilities, planning/project management skills and presentation skills.
8. Native level Japanese and business level English in both writing and speaking are required.
